When death comes to visit you, surely you'll be together once he leaves. A simple road trip of 6 students turned into a tragic and horrific accident on the morning early Sunday morning of January 17, 2016.

All six victims were minors who didn't have driver's licenses. The casualties were identified in the report as John Russel Garcia, 15; John Paul Tena, 15; Kirby Bokingo, 16; Jaymee Gubaton, 16; Lauren Bren Calabines (driver), 16; and Rodalyn Bautista, 17. Witnesses say that the driver apparently lost its control of the TOYOTA VIOS (AHA-5287) due to its very high speed. It rammed some concrete barriers until it smashed into a tree and bursted into flames. Sr. Supt. Eliseo Cruz, Cavite police director, said probers believe the driver lost control of the vehicle and the car crossed to the opposite lane then rammed the concrete barrier and the trees. The passengers were trapped inside the burning vehicle that later exploded, Cruz said. He said elements of the Silang Police Community Precinct, who were first on the scene, together with officials of Barangay San Jose and the Tagaytay rescue team tried to rescue the passengers but the car exploded. The remains of the victims were brought to the Mel Funeral services in Bulihan, Silang, Cavite. He said the police are investigating the incident and looking for witnesses. Investigators are also looking for possible video footages from closed circuit television cameras installed near the site of the mishap.
